HotValley Roof Ice Melt System
The HotValley roof ice melt system track holds a single or double run of UL Listed self-regulating heat cable. It spreads the heat across a 1.5″ or 3″ wide cable which creates a wide melt path for snow melt water to prevent ice dam formations. It is recommended that Hot Valley be used in combination with any HotEdge roof edge ice melt system. By doing so, the snow melt water created by HotValley is not able to re-freeze on roof edges where icicles and ice dams also form.
Note: While the HotValley track comes in 1.5″ or 3″ widths, other widths are available to accommodate smaller or larger valleys. A double run of cable can be used in the 3″ wide version. HotValley roof ice melt system can be used in the valley between roofs or beneath drip lines of dormers.
Warning: Low cost, constant current heat cable must not be used. Only safety agency UL Listed, self-regulating ice and snow heat cable for structures that is provided with the system can be used.
